This Friday, September 18th, we will have our first 'Reading Friday'. Students will receive their assignment on Friday. This is due on Friday, October 9th. We have also started unit 1 of 'Literacy 8', entitled 'Global Citizens'. We will study a variety of both fiction and non-fiction essays, short stories, and poems. The test on this unit will be in late October. At least a one week notice will be given on the homework page. Additionally, next week we will begin our first process piece. This will be in the form of a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and will be on a global issue that is of concern to the student. This will be due on October 1st or 2nd. This is an in-class assignment. back
