Reminder that the content part of the Torn Away test is tomorrow, written part is on Wednesday!

To study, you should be reviewing the study prep booklet, looking over notes/questions we've done while reading the novel, and reviewing the literary terms (handout, and can do google form quiz).

For the written part, you should focus on reviewing the graphic organizers on page 7 and 8 in our booklet (and the notes on those topics), reviewing notes on how to write a paragraph, and practicing your own! The sample paragraph in located in Torn Away notes.

I introduced the second part of the unit, Interactions Between Living Things, by a discussion of the symbiotic relationship between flowering plants and bees.

The deep, sacred mysteries of plant sexual reproduction have been revealed, culminating in a reprise of my Oscar-award winning, career-defining role of a hyperactive bee in a feeding frenzy. The children are suitably awed. My work here is done.
